When it comes to buying your dream home to live in, today’s guests Adam Woledge and Kristen Hatt discuss the emotional, practical and lifestyle considerations that are most important.
The considerations here are very different to the less emotional and more financial type of assessments that are more common amongst investors.
Many property investors aspire to one day owning their dream home though, and so this is the focus of today’s show – how to identify elements of a great family home, and then sensible ways for approaching the buying process.
Adam and Kristen are both highly experienced buyers advocates in Melbourne. Their company WoledgeHatt specialises in the million dollar plus home buyers market, predominantly in Melbourne’s inner east and south eastern suburbs.
Adam’s perspective is via the lens of an architect. He previously ran his own architecture firm and can quickly and easily identify properties with “good bones”.
As you will hear good bones are critical in the context of buying a home which will last well and can one day also be renovated to add value.
Similarly, Kristen stresses the importance of a flexible floor-plan capable of being adjusted to suit the changing circumstances most families go through.
In today’s show we also discuss the state of Melbourne’s property market as at September 2016, as well as some of the strategies buyers agents use to buy below market value, and on favourable terms.
So without further ado, please enjoy today’s conversation with Adam and Kristen from WoledgeHatt:
